Adam Cates has invested the past 30 years of his life as a minister of the Gospel embodied in the life and person of Jesus Christ. With a passion for the Worship Arts, Adam has been a pioneer in launching and developing expressions of God’s Kingdom through the gathering of people around the pillars of Scripture, Praise & Worship, Spiritual Gifts and Authentic Community. In 2009 Adam and his wife Lindsey launched Big House Church with around 50 people meeting in their parents historic home in Norfolk, Virginia. After 15 years of pioneering this work, Big House grew to 800 people and developed a dynamic influence both locally and globally. In 2024 Adam transitioned out of his Lead Pastor role and launched Adam Cates Ministries. His mission remains to empower others regionally and worldwide, to deepen their connection to God through spiritual formation. At the heartbeat of Adam’s ministry is the belief that God’s love for humanity can never be underestimated…with God all things are possible. Adam currently resides in Norfolk, Virginia with his wife Lindsey and their four kids Judah, Aidah, Levi & Ezra.
